How to do it
Tap into any text field and start as usual. Hold the space bar until the letters on the keyboard disappear. The keyboard is now a trackpad: slide your finger left, right, up, or down until the cursor sits exactly where you want to edit. Lift your finger and keep typing.
Why it helps
Placing the cursor by tapping inside text is often too rough, especially between two small letters. The trackpad gesture gives you finer control, so fixing a typo in a message, note, or email takes one clean move instead of several taps.
Good to know
This works in most iOS text fields. Some apps use custom text input, so the gesture may feel slightly different there. If nothing moves at first, hold the space bar a little longer and wait until the keyboard turns into a blank trackpad area.
