So geht’s
- Open Signal and enter the chat where you want messages to auto-delete.
- Tap the contact or group name at the top.
- Open Disappearing messages or Keep messages.
- Pick a timer such as 30 seconds, 1 day, or 1 week.
- Confirm it. New messages in that chat will now disappear automatically after the selected time.
iPhone and Android
- iPhone: Open the chat → tap the name at the top → Disappearing messages
- Android: Open the chat → tap the name or menu at the top → Disappearing messages
Why this helps
You do not need to manually clean up sensitive chats anymore. It is useful for addresses, one-time codes, internal coordination, or anything that should not stay in your chat history forever. Important: the timer applies to new messages after activation, not old ones.
