DuckDuckGo Email: Free Disposable Addresses for Privacy

How it works

Step 1: Create DuckDuckGo account

• Go to duckduckgo.com
• Click Sign In (top right)
• Register with email (or use existing account)

Step 2: Activate Email Protection

• In DuckDuckGo dashboard: Open Email Protection
• Add your real email address (where mails will be forwarded)
• Click confirmation link in your inbox

Step 3: Use your private Duck Address

• You get a personal base address: yourID@duck.com
• Use it everywhere (newsletters, shops, forums)
• All mails land in your real inbox – tracker-free

Step 4: Generate random aliases (optional)

• In dashboard: Generate Private Duck Address
• Create unlimited disposable addresses (e.g. xyz123@duck.com)
• Use different aliases for different services
• Spam incoming? Simply disable alias (no need to change real email!)

Step 5: Browser extension (optional, recommended)

• Install DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
• When filling email fields: Alias auto-suggested
• One click = new alias generated + inserted

Step 6: Tracker removal runs automatically

• DuckDuckGo scans every forwarded mail
• Tracking pixels removed
• Tracking links neutralized
• You see in your inbox: clean mails without spying
